Our village bobby was driving along the road when he saw an old boy in his car crawling along at 17 miles per hour.
He stopped him and asked why he was driving so slowly. The old boy replies - “well it’s 17 mph limit. You can tell by all those signs saying 17″
Our policeman politely pointed out that they were the road number - the “A17″.
Says the old boy - “no wonder my wife’s face was white when we came off the 149!!”
Bugger me!… An oldie but a goodie
