This is an interesting take on hooking to the web via SecondLife. The original HUD script by Ordinal Malaprop (slurlblogger) allows one to ‘takes notes’ at any location which are then stored by the HUD along with the SL location data. Then you are able to email a group of notes to an email address. Used in combination with, say, the WordPress ‘blog by email’ facility (Options - Writing) you can of course then effectively blog SLURL’s and your notes about them direct to your blog from ‘in-world’.The fact that Ordinal has made the code available means it provides a good demo of how you do something like this - I did do a tweak while testing to allow for a subject line to be included when emailing and if you were using it to ‘live blog’ via email you’d probably want to code in the ability to just add note lines without locations too.Anyway, thanks Ordinal!
