A professional acquaintance of mine pointed out one of the latest exhibitions to be mounted by Tate Britian – “How We Are – Photographing Britian“. Nothing too note-worthy there I hear you say… however.. comma.. dit.. dit.. dit..
This is an exhibition with a twist – “Tate Britain is inviting members of the public to contribute to the content of an exhibition” – anyone adhering to some simple rules can add to a flickr ‘photograph pool’ accompanying the exhibition.
Exposure of submitted photos in-gallery, in The Observer and a Tate adjudicated ‘competition’ to select 40 finalists for posterity..
Art, Museums, Galleries, attracting young audiences… smart move Tate.
