Tea anyone?

We have all heard of Wikipedia…
But do you know about Wikinews, or Wikibooks, or a host of other concurrent projects that the Wikimedia Foundation run on over 100 servers based in Florida, The Netherlands and Korea?

Whilst researching the Wikimedia Foundation I found the information I wanted and, as is usual with the Internet, quite a few bits’n'pieces beside…
For instance did you know there is an International Standard for making tea?
There is, it started life as British Standard (no surprise there) 6008:1980, and became ISO 3103 in 1980.
Just as interestingly a teapot – called the Utah teapot – became a sort of ‘standard reference model’ for work in 3d graphics back in 1975.
I use Wikipedia every day, do you?
If so, maybe it’s time to support them through the Wikimedia Foundation.
You could buy one of the ISO 3103 ‘Tea’ t-shirts (20% goes to the Foundation) or just make a donation… the way I see it my 100 bucks helps educate people everyday…
