Open the gate.. welcome to this dimension..
Bill has far more expertise than I, and has been talking about these problems, which I've only in my latter years come to realise are endemic, for decades..
One of the differences today, I think, is that there is enough information for one to be able to 'check' the type of assertions Bill makes - this is important.
People must come to an understanding of the problems themselves. This is where the Internet has had an impact, despite the tendency to 'opaqueness' by corporates and institutions, the information is out there if you make the time and effort to look. This matters, people's convictions are stronger when they can verify information for themselves.
Many, many, things have been arranged, or through unintended consequences happened, which have brought us to where we are. 'Unpicking' the situation is not simple, but it's necessary to get a handle on where to focus efforts to make the first most impactful, beneficial to societies, changes. There are areas where 'low hanging fruit' opportunity for change exist..
I've said it before and I'll say it again, personally I couldn't care less - I'll be dead by the time the outcome of this era is known.. But you should care on behalf of your children (I don't have any) because leaving a fucked up society (of which I am part, so I guess I care on that level) to the next generation strikes me as a major abrogation of human moral responsibility..
buggered if I know 😛
