It's all getting pretty weird if you're following along on a daily basis. Everything politicians, economists, and talking heads thought they 'knew' is pretty much being tipped on its head..
The Bank of England's intervention to stop an implosion of the UK financial system (again..) is yet another symptom of a much broader set of systemic economic problems which are continuing to unfold.
The last couple of years are an inflection point and are probably explicable and understandable on a longer time frame if you 'stand back'. I'm working on a piece trying to capture that view, because trying to understand how we got here is worth doing IMO..
